FocusLearn Privacy Policy
For the iOS version · Updated and effective September 30, 2026FocusLearn is operated by Fuzhou Buwan Technology Co., Ltd. Contact address: Shop 25, 4th Floor, Connecting Building 1# and 2#, Baolong City Plaza, No. 193 Gongye Road, Ninghua Subdistrict, Taijiang District, Fuzhou, Fujian, China. This policy explains how the current iOS version processes information to provide focus learning, Screen Time restrictions, personal data sync, and membership features.
1. Information We Process and Why
Focus and learning content: Focus records, tasks and notes, habits and check-ins, tags, countdown days, study room goals and completed records, duration presets, and plans you create are used for timers, reminders, statistics, and restoring settings. They are stored on your device first. When iCloud is available and sync conditions are met, eligible personal data syncs to your own private iCloud database.
Display name, avatar, and custom materials: The name you enter, avatars or images you choose through the system photo picker, and theme materials or sound files you import are used on your Profile page, study room seating dialog, widgets, and related customization features. Selected content is stored on your device and may sync as personal data to your private iCloud database. The app does not read photos or files you did not select.
Screen Time selections and active state: After system authorization, the app processes the app or category tokens you select, usage information the system permits it to display, and focus lock, whitelist, fatigue supervision, and permission settings to enforce restrictions and show their status on your device and in app extensions. Selection tokens, system authorization state, and active focus lock state do not sync with personal iCloud data.
iCloud account identifier: The app receives the current iCloud user record identifier from the system and stores a digest of it on your device. This detects account changes and avoids merging local data into a different iCloud account without your confirmation. The app does not obtain your Apple Account password.
Membership and transactions: The app reads product identifiers, Apple-verified transactions, and the membership entitlements derived from them to show prices, support purchases and restoration, and unlock features. Apple App Store handles payment; the app does not obtain your bank card number or payment password.
Information you send voluntarily: When you choose to send a support email, open an external support page, or use system sharing, the recipient receives the content you enter or share. If you contact us by email, we also receive your sender address to respond and handle your request.
The current iOS version does not offer app account registration or login, require a phone number or email address to register an app account, or obtain app login credentials through WeChat, QQ, or Sign in with Apple. The app does not use ad tracking.
2. Study Rooms and the Public Classroom Directory
When you browse teaching buildings, the app requests floors, classroom numbers, and names from the public classroom API of Autonomy. This anonymous, read-only request sends a building identifier, app version, platform, system version, and device and launch information needed for the API. The server may also receive your connection IP address and necessary access logs. No app account login is required.
After entering a classroom, your selected seat, goal, duration, and learning progress are managed on your device. Browsing the public directory does not submit an online seat reservation or upload personal learning records to that service. The current anonymous mode does not show other members' live seating status. If the public directory is unavailable, the app offers a personal study room on your device.
3. System Permissions and Actions You Choose
Screen Time: Used for app selection, whitelists, scheduled focus locks, app supervision, and usage data the system permits the app to show. If you deny or revoke authorization, related restrictions and usage displays may be unavailable.
Notifications: Used for focus completion, scheduled plans, habits, and fatigue reminders. System remote-notification capability may also be used to receive iCloud data changes. You can manage notification permission in iOS Settings.
Photos and files: Only selected content is processed when you choose an avatar, image, theme material, or sound file. When you choose to save a poster to Photos, the app requests Add Photos Only permission.
Audio and Picture in Picture: White noise, cue sounds, and floating timers use audio playback and Picture in Picture. They do not require microphone recording.
Sharing and external services: Copying, sharing, opening external QQ or WeCom pages, and sending email are triggered by your actions. Subsequent processing follows the relevant service's rules.
4. iCloud Sync and Third-Party Services
Personal data syncs through your private Apple CloudKit database, with an offline copy kept on your device. Cloud data counts toward your iCloud storage. Sync may be delayed or fail when iCloud is unavailable, storage is full, or the network is interrupted. Check status and retry from Profile → iCloud Data. When you change the system iCloud account, the app first asks whether to merge local data into the current account.
If the same record is edited on several devices, one edit may take precedence. Deletions reach other devices on the next successful sync. Screen Time authorization, app selections, and plan activation must be confirmed again on a new device. An active focus lock does not start across devices.
Apple provides system features including iCloud, App Store, the photo picker, notifications, and Screen Time. Business services provide the public directory and some online content. External websites, communities, and email you choose to open are handled by their respective services. The current version does not include WeChat or QQ login SDKs. See the Third-Party Information Sharing List and Personal Information Processing List.
5. Retention and Your Rights
Personal data on your device remains until you delete the content or remove the app. Data in your private iCloud database remains under your iCloud account until you delete it in the app and sync completes, or delete it through iCloud storage management. Removing the app from one device does not automatically erase iCloud data. If a local copy remains, later sync may upload previously deleted cloud content again. Necessary online access logs are processed for the time needed to provide services, troubleshoot, and maintain security, or longer when required by applicable law.
You can view, correct, or delete personal records in the relevant app pages; manage this app's iCloud, Screen Time, and notification permissions in iOS Settings; and email the address below to request access, copies, correction, deletion, or other privacy rights. Apple's account, storage, and purchase-history controls also let you manage private iCloud data and transactions handled by Apple. Contact us at the same address for requests concerning older server account data.
6. Security, Children, and Policy Changes
We use system access controls, encrypted transmission, and other measures to protect information, and limit processing to what is needed for each feature. Minors should use the app and its purchase features with guidance from a guardian.
We will update this policy if information processing changes significantly and, when needed, ask you to confirm again in the app. You can view the current version in the app at any time.
